In 2002, the ALS Therapy Alliance invited CVS/pharmacy to join the fight against ALS by asking its customers to donate to the cause at the checkout counters. The Researching a Cure fundraising campaign was born.
Nine years later, that partnership is still thriving and CVS/pharmacy is an integral part of the annual ALS fundraising campaign.
As of 2011, this effort has raised nearly $28 million. 100% of all money raised benefits the ALS Therapy Alliance.
This annual fundraiser takes place at CVS/pharmacy stores throughout the U.S. each year for three weeks in the month of June. For information about your local store’s participation or to locate a store near you, please visit www.cvs.com.
